The Village DPW collects garbage every Thursday except for on holidays. Garbage is to be on the curb by 8 am Thursday mornings. The bags must be transparent and they not weigh over 50 lbs. Stickers are available for $3/each in the office.

The Village now offers TWO options for residents who choose to participate in the village trash pickup services:
  • Individual Stickers
Individual stickers are available for purchase at the village office or online for $3.00 each. If purchased online, we will mail the stickers to the address you provide. Each bag requires an orange sticker. Please note, all online transactions include a 3% service fee.
The Village is not responsible for stickers lost in the mail.
  • Pre-Paid Refuse Pickup
With the monthly billing option for trash pickup, you no longer need to purchase individual stickers. However, if you exceed the number of bags allowed in your plan, you will need to attach a sticker to the additional bags. This service is available for residential properties only. Once you sign up online, the Village Office will send you a form to sign. Your services will not begin until the completed form is returned to the office

Recycling Dumpster

Update 3/28/25
Due to the misuse of our blue recycling dumpster behind the DPW Building, two sides of the container will only be open during the hours of 6AM-2PM. If the other sides are misused, residents will no longer have access to the blue dumpster.
  • The black trailer is not left outside during the winter. Residents can only bring cardboard to the DPW Building when temperatures are warmer.
  • Please do not leave any recycling materials in vehicles labeled "CCI" - Village vehicles have a "Village of Evans Mills" license plate. Also, when the noble street bridge construction resumes, the black trailer will be located at another DPW building, 8729 North Main Street.
